Analytics (general)

Like most websites and apps, we want to improve our products.  One common way we do this (along with providing a forum to talk with us) is by using computer services to tell us a little about how our users used those websites and apps (e.g. how you navigated between the screens of the app, what sort of device you used, etc).  Be assured all information is anonymous.  The services we use are Unity, GameAnalyticsFlurry and/or Google analytics.  If there's sufficient desire, we are willing to add the option to disable this feature in our apps.

More details can be found on the products' websites linked above with some below (a legal requirement).  The Google Analytics declaration below also applies to the app-based version and a similar declaration applies to Flurry.

Adverts, advert cookies & opt-out

Summary: We sometimes use adverts -- much like most other sites and apps do.

In the following, the term (i) "properties" should be read as "website(s) and/or mobile app(s)" and (ii) "use" should be read as "visit(s) and/or use(s)".
  • We include adverts in some of our properties.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior use of our properties.
  • Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your use of our properties and/or other properties (on the Internet and/or device(s)).
  • You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the advertising opt-out page and opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
  • We also use (often/sometimes through Google) other advertisers, vendors and ad networks on our properties.  These are sometimes referred to as "third-party vendors or ad networks".  Their cookies may also be used to serve ads on our properties.
  • For a list of these and to opt out of cookies (if the vendor or ad network offers this capability), see this list of third-party vendors or ad networks.
  • You can also opt out of some, but not all, of these cookies in one location at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out website at

Crash reporting

We also use crash reporting systems and services which carry privacy implications.  For details and links, please see our "Crash reporting notice" page.  The BugSense privacy policy details their treatment of information we submit to them (with your agreement).
